Gift-giving

Tysdagr's rune is GEBO, or Gift. This means an exchanged medium. It speaks of friendships, of obligations, of promises made. It also, as a Norse proverb suggests, speaks of trust and beneficial relationships:

"Know, if thou hast a friend whom thou fully trustest, and from whom thou woulds't good derive, thou shouldst blend thy mind with his, and gifts exchange, and often go to see him."

The suggestion is that one cannot trade gifts with someone we don't trust fully or who's company we do not enjoy. So it is with GEBO. Today perhaps you will exchange gifts with a close friend, or receive a gift. This rune cannot be reversed, and is generally a most positive rune, but always be wary of gifts received, for they may indebt the receiver.
